My name is Sarah Nicora & I'm a VPA major with a concentration in Museum Studies. I'm an artist, but this past year for my Capstone project I've been more of a historian. My love for art and it's creative process has curiously lead me to Museum Studies.

My Capstone project, an exhibit titled Soldiers Expression: A Focus on the Fort Ord Art & Morale Project 1961-1975, is composed of Vietnam soldier art created here at Fort Ord. Paintings, Photography, Sculpture, & Glass Blown artifacts from the Fort Ord Museum & Archive (FOMA) collection are displayed. This exhibit will provide an opportunity for the public to see and learn what the Army allowed in terms of self expression to boost morale during the Vietnam era.
