The Friendship Rock

The Friendship Rock is a book of illustrations by Emily Galyean-Anderson, based on a story written by her mother, Alice. Written over twenty years ago, it is a story about the importance of friendship and how it can be found in many shapes, sizes and colors. The Friendship Rock also conveys how, sometimes, important friendships come only after a long, lonely search. The many qualities that are found in good friends are mirrored in the colorful illustrations – each one a vibrant collage of various colors and textures. With its variety of illustrations, The Friendship Rock reminds us of the diversity in our communities and our many opportunities for making new friends.
