I think an artist is a person who lives an artful life.

Artful: Art Filled; FULL of art; full of life

Inspiring life to fulfill itself …

The artist walks the path of an observer, a leader, and a listener.

In my current work I bring together thoughts, feelings, and emotions from our lives that are often hidden within. Using sources from nature, history, culture, color, texture and our perceptions and collective thoughts. A natural desire to express myself moves my work forward in a direction that inspires new techniques and relationships with materials, incorporating different mediums and techniques such as; sculpture, painting and photography. Eventually art makes itself known though process and repetition, often the waiting and looking, deciding which tool or technique to use leads to another piece entirely.

Reinterpreting what I see in the everyday moments becomes an inspiration, an opportunity for artful expression. This work is called “Nesting”.
