Painting an image and painting an emotion finally came together. “Episodic”
is an exploration of self and those around us, and their roles in the
healing process. It is a painted discussion of mental distress and euphoria,
and notions of mental disorder that are conveyed to each of us. It is
an exploration of what it means to live with bipolar disorder, using
paintings as a tool to represent individual moments and various levels
of emotion in the life of a girl who is called “episodic.” |
